Zleeb's external character traits were inspired by the likes of characters such as Sploot(right), created by unknownspy, and Gnarpy(left), created by Regretevator. The eyes were designed after the eyes of both Sploot and Gnarpy most notably with the "eyeglare" taken from Sploot to indicate eye direction. Some instances of Zleeb depict it having eyebrows which were taken from Gnarpy as a way to idicate facial expression. Zleeb's notable rectangular fingers were also taken from Sploot because I, DISK2, cannot draw very detailed hands very well.
